Scalp micropigmentation is intended as a permanent hair loss solution. No one should get scalp micropigmentation if removal is at the front of their mind before getting the procedure. Removal is possible and is fairly easy to do because the pigment is not deposited as deep as traditional tattoo ink. There are a few different ways scalp micropigmentation removal can be done.
Laser
Scalp micropigmentation laser removal works because the intense ultraviolet light breaks down the molecules in the pigment into their component parts. Your immune system will then take away those simplified molecules and deliver them to the lymph nodes where they are absorbed. Laser clinics should be highly trained with a skill and knowledge that will achieve the best outcome. Clinics like Simply Scalp are using a Q Switched ND YAG to safely remove most scalp micropigmentation with 2-3 sessions with very little downtime or damage to skin. Laser removal should not be taken lightly, if handled by someone who has not had the correct training it can burn and scar people. Laser removal is a safe, effective method of scalp micropigmentation removal, but may be uncomfortable. This takes at least 8 weeks to heal and should not damage the hair that remains, it may just turn it white due to the hair singeing but will grow back.
Saline
This I where a tattoo machine is used to flush out the pigment by using saltwater solution. The salt dries out the skin it is implanted into. This technique works well with permanent makeup, but as the scalp is such a large surface area it is difficult to flush out all the pigment this way.
UNDO
This is the current removal system of choice for scalp micropigmentation. Made from natural ingredients this three-step system is designed to safely remove all pigment from any skin type. First deracination serum is used to wake up the dormant ink in the skin and pull it to the surface. Then a lifting clay mask is used. Acting as a magnet it attracts negatively charged toxins as well as any additional pigment that was brought to the surface. Lifting clay detoxifies the body and improves the skin tone. Finally, a healing microcurrent mask is used to aid faster healing, making your skin smoother and not causing any scarring which enables a much shorter recovery time. The microcurrent mask delivers the benefits of iontophoresis treatments to the skin, as used by many dermatologists. The benefits of UNDO are
There is no risk of hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation.
The procedure is safe for all clients with any coloured skin tones.
UNDO is not as invasive as other removal procedures.
This is an easy procedure for clinics.
